There’ll Always Be An England – our marvellous wartime music hall show

Our Wartime show There’ll Always Be An England – a wartime music hall show opened last week and runs until November 11th. Our marvellous line-up, above, left to right, Paul James, Lucy Reed, Chris Draper, Shelby Morgan, Lloyd Ellery, Andrew Robley, Hayley-jo Whitney, Vincent Hayes.

The first half focusses on the First World War, drawing on the connection between Music Hall and recruitment and the role of the popular Music Hall songs in keeping up morale at home and on the front.

While the second half pays tribute to the great spirit of the Second World War in comedy and song, opening with Vincent Hayes as the cheeky chappie himself, Max Miller, followed by a medley of Second World War children’s songs performed by the cast dressed as evacuees!
