Community heroes take centre stage
June 23, 2026A landmark study has been published in Innovation in Aging providing scientific proof that engaging in arts and cultural activity is as effective as exercise in slowing down the biological aging process.“The results demonstrate the health impact of the arts, providing evidence for arts and cultural engagement to be recognised as a health-promoting behaviour in a similar way to exercise,” Professor Daisy Fancourt, head of social biobehavioural research at University College London.
So at Brick Lane Music Hall we are hoping you will take advantage of one of the many opportunities to put the science to the test in our on-going programme of shows!
