February 16, 2023What a Summer!
June 16, 2023All proceeds from Saturday’s show were donated to Newham Charity, Ambition, Aspire, Achieve, which supports young people in need, including those with disabilities or additional needs, offering them a wide range of special experiences and activity programmes.
“An enthralled audience enjoyed a brilliant benefit night at Brick Lane Music Hall in Silvertown to raise vital funds for charity Ambition, Aspire, Achieve (AAA). The event on Saturday was the sixth staged by the music hall for AAA and raised over £13,000 for the group’s vital work with young people. Music Hall maestro Vincent Hayes said it was an honour to stage the show and dedicated the event to the memory of AAA’s founder Kevin Jenkins. AAA’s Chief Executive Jonny Boux said there was hugely increasing demand on the charity’s services and the money raised would be very important to our work.
“Giving children and young people fully inclusive experiences and opportunities to flourish with support to help them overcome challenges, leads to positive outcomes that make a difference and changes lives.”
AAA Chair of Trustees Christine Bowden told the audience about one particular young man and his family whose lives had been changed thanks to AAA’s work.
We’d like to thank the performers and supporting staff of Brick Lane for their hard work in making the evening possible, and supporters for attending and raising money. The evening also included a fund raising auction and raffle.”
