From when it first opened its doors in the former workers’ canteen in the old Truman’s Brewery in Brick Lane, Brick Lane Music Hall has been distinguished, not only by its unique entertainment, but by the quality of its welcome, with food and service at its heart, emulating the vibrant community atmosphere of the old music halls which once thrived all over the East End of London.

Evening shows are accompanied by a three course dinner served by candlelight, followed by the show and dancing. Lunchtime shows include a three course lunch before curtain-up, and matinee performances include a popular afternoon tea, served during the interval.

All food is freshly prepared on the premises by our talented team led by Hospitality Manager, Jupfel Anacan. Our food is generally compared to the best quality home-made fare, although the tea was once said to be “better than the Ritz!”

Having won the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for many years, representing the top 10% of venues worldwide, we were delighted to receive a “Best Food and Drink Award” at the first ever Fringe Theatre Awards in May 2026.
