Looking to the future

Our thanks to Elizabeth Hodgson, Group Travel Organiser for Barnet U3A, for recommending Brick Lane Music Hall as the most memorable day out (pre Lockdown…) in Group Leisure and Travel Magazine.

“Visits to Brick Lane Music Hall are always popular and we now opt for a performance with included lunch. The standard of the catering is really high” writes Elizabeth, who brought her group to a lunchtime performance of Big Dick Whittington earlier this year. She adds “Anyone who has not been to Brick Lane should certainly go – they specialise in groups and look after everyone extremely well.”

U3A stands for University of the Third Age and offers people no longer in full-time employment an opportunity for life-long learning – as well as fun and friendship. Barnet U3A are regular visitors to the shows, along with other U3A groups who come to Brick Lane Music Hall from different parts of the country.

The main U3A website is well worth a visit  u3a.org.uk  for all sorts of information and activities,  or to contact your nearest branch, which, like Barnet, may well currently be operating on-line!

Elizabeth says that during the show, her group were infected by the enthusiasm of the cast. “Vincent Hayes MBE and his team never disappoint; if you fancy something different, try one of their other themed shows, there is plenty of choice to consider.”

“Looking to the future, we will all need to have some fun and laughter and we hope that the excellent Brick Lane Music Hall will help us all to get back to enjoying ourselves again.”

For the first time in its 28 year history, Brick Lane Music Hall is asking for help to survive.
