The Brick Lane Music Hall Charity sends shows throughout the year to the frail and elderly around London and the Southeast. Through the summer teams have been performing in homes in Essex and Kent, as well as locally at events in Silvertown and the Royal Docks.
Most recently, regular Brick Lane Music Hall performers, Andrew Robley, Lucy Reed, virtuoso violinist Victoria Yellop and Musical Director Martin Layzell performed in Brentwood for Brentwood and District Age Concern. Held in the Brentwood Theatre, the afternoon included afternoon tea and was organised by Brick Lane Music Hall customer, Dee Truesdale of the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust on behalf of Age Concern in celebration of their 70th Anniversary.

In conveying her “heartfelt thanks for the most excellent show”, Dee said it “made the day really special for those who are not able to get to the pantomime”. Dee will be bringing a group to Brick Lane Music Hall to attend the pantomime in March. In the meantime, for those from the organisation unable to pay us a visit in person we were more than happy to take the show to them.
A final word from Dee: “Everyone enjoyed themselves and had such a good time. Andrew had them all in stitches, Martin was magnificent on keyboard, Lucy bedazelled them and Victoria blew their socks off!”
If you would like us to bring a show to a care home, hospice, day care centre or any organisation for the frail, elderly or those genuinely unable to travel to our theatre, please email with details to firstname.lastname@example.org.
