The Golden Age of Musicals
1940 to 1959 is often seen as the Golden Age of Musicals, a period of unparalleled creativity and innovation on stage and screen, producing some of the most beloved and enduring works, with memorable songs and big dance numbers still hugely popular today. Broadway in particular saw an explosion of iconic musicals from the likes of Rodgers and Hammerstein, Leonard Bernstein and Frank Loesser. Our show encapsulates all the fun and glamour of a Golden Age.
