David Phipps-Davis

Having trained as a classical singer at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, David has performed leading operatic roles as well as appearing in musicals, including Oliver! and Phantom of the Opera.

He has appeared as Bunthorne in Patience at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in Harrogate.

Over the years he has received critical acclaim for his appearances in pantomime as Dame, most recently in Aladdin at The Cliffs Pavillion, Westcliff-On-Sea. Having appeared in many pantomimes, David’s Brick Lane Music Hall debut in our 2018 pantomime for grown-ups, where he took the role of the evil uncle Abanazar was only his second pantomime appearance as a man!

David subsequently took on the role of the Police Inspector in our first ever murder mystery, Murder at the Music Hall, and in 2019 he once again appeared in our annual pantomime for grown-ups, playing the Dirty Demon in Mother’s Goosed.
